Cancellation Policy

Mishawaka Ink Co LLC – Appointment & Cancellation Policy:

At Mishawaka Ink Co. LLC, we value the time and dedication of our talented artists. When you book an appointment, we reserve a significant amount of time specifically for you, and our artists invest time and effort into preparing your custom design. To ensure fairness to all clients and artists, we have the following policy regarding deposits, cancellations, and rescheduling.

Please read this policy carefully before booking your appointment. By submitting a deposit and booking an appointment with Mishawaka Ink Co. LLC or any of our artists, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to adhere to these terms.


1. Deposits: Non-Refundable & Forfeiture

A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking all tattoo appointments. This deposit serves several purposes:

  • Secures Your Appointment: It holds your specific date and time slot, preventing others from booking it.
  • Covers Design & Preparation Time: It compensates our artists for the time spent on drawing, research, and any pre-appointment preparation for your unique design.
  • Demonstrates Commitment: It signifies your commitment to the appointment and the tattoo process.

All deposits are strictly non-refundable for any reason.

Your deposit will be forfeited under the following circumstances:

  • Cancellation: If you cancel your appointment at any time, for any reason.
  • Insufficient Notice for Rescheduling: If you attempt to reschedule your appointment with less than 72 hours notice prior to your scheduled appointment time.
  • No-Call/No-Show: If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment without any prior notification.
  • Excessive Tardiness: If you arrive more than 30 minutes late for your appointment without notifying your artist, or if your lateness significantly impacts the ability to complete the tattoo in the allotted time.
  • Multiple Reschedules: If you reschedule the same appointment more than once. After this limit, a new deposit will be required to book any further appointments.
  • Major Design Changes: If you request substantial changes to your tattoo design after the initial consultation or after the artist has already started drawing, and these changes require a complete redraw or significantly alter the original concept discussed.
  • Failure to Provide Valid ID: Arriving for your appointment without valid, government-issued photo identification as required by law.
  • Arriving Under the Influence: Arriving to your appointment intoxicated or otherwise impaired, making it unsafe or impossible to proceed with the tattoo.
  • Disregarding Artist Instructions/Studio Policies: Failure to follow pre-appointment instructions (e.g., preparing skin, avoiding certain medications) or general studio rules.
  • Expiration: Deposits may expire if a new appointment is not booked or the project is not completed within 6 months of the initial booking date.

Please note: If your deposit is forfeited, a new deposit will be required to book any future appointments.

2. Rescheduling Your Appointment

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you need to reschedule your appointment, please adhere to the following:

  • Notice Required: A minimum of 73+ hours (Greater than 3 Days) notice is required to reschedule your appointment without forfeiting your deposit.
  • How to Reschedule: All rescheduling requests must be made by calling the shop at (574) 303-5323 during business hours. We generally cannot accept rescheduling requests via social media DMs or other informal channels.
  • Deposit Transfer: If you provide sufficient notice, your deposit will be transferred to your new appointment date.
  • Reschedule Limit: You are permitted to reschedule your appointment once, with sufficient notice. Subsequent reschedules for the same tattoo project will require a new deposit.

3. Late Arrivals

  • Please notify us immediately if you anticipate being late for your appointment.
  • If you are more than 30 minutes late without prior communication, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment and your deposit will be forfeited. This time is often difficult to fill last-minute, impacting our artists’ schedule and income.

4. No-Shows

  • Clients who do not show up for their scheduled appointment without any prior notification (a “no-call/no-show”) will automatically forfeit their deposit.
  • Repeat no-shows may result in refusal of future service at Mishawaka Ink Co. LLC.

5. Design Process & Changes

  • Our artists typically finalize your design on the day of your appointment or shortly before. We generally do not send designs for review prior to the appointment unless explicitly stated otherwise by your artist.
  • Minor adjustments can be made on the day of your appointment.
  • If you wish to make significant changes to your design concept that deviate substantially from what was originally discussed at the consultation, your deposit may be forfeited, and a new deposit may be required to cover the time spent on the initial design and to book a new appointment for the revised concept.

6. Pricing & Payments

  • Your deposit will be applied to the final cost of your tattoo on the day your tattoo is completed.
  • For multi-session tattoos, your deposit will typically be held and applied to the final session of your tattoo.
  • The remaining balance for your tattoo is due upon completion of the session. We accept [List accepted payment methods, e.g., Cash, Credit/Debit Card, Venmo].

7. Health & Safety

  • If you are feeling unwell or have any contagious symptoms, please contact us immediately to reschedule your appointment. While standard notice periods apply, we may make exceptions for genuine illness at the artist’s sole discretion, provided ample notice is given.
  • Failure to disclose relevant medical conditions or medications prior to your appointment may result in cancellation and forfeiture of your deposit if it impacts the safety or feasibility of the tattoo.
